Midwife Led Antenatal Classes in PortsmouthHi, I’m Toni and I have been a qualified midwife since April 2021. I love coffee and to be outdoors come rain or shine, which bodes well with the energy levels of my 4 year old son!
I work in the main maternity unit as a rotational midwife, which includes antenatal, labour and postnatal care. Caring for parents through the perinatal period is important to me, I am obsessed with my job and advocate for kind, compassionate, well informed and individualised care. I taught some antenatal classes during my training and absolutely loved doing them as I could see the positive impact they had. From there I have always had a passion for antenatal education, health promotion, including promoting positive mental health, which is why I reached out to Emma to work with P2P.
I trained in Nottingham at 3 different hospitals and then moved back to Portsmouth where I grew up. I had my son whilst in the middle of my training and also the middle of COVID (most challenging thing I have ever done!!).
My aim is always to empower parents-to-be by giving them up to date, evidence based information so they can make informed decisions about their own care and also feel knowledgeable in those early days.
I honestly believe knowledge is power and I want to help support you through this special time in your life. My classes will be relaxed and all questions are welcomed and encouraged!
